Samsung Omnia unboxedSamsung’s Omnia is the company’s flagship all-in-one phone, packing in Windows Mobile, a 5 megapixel camera, tasty multimedia abilities and business skills to wow even the the most technophobic executives. We’ve got hold of one, wrenched it from its packaging and taken it for a spin so you can get a close-up look yourself. Come and take a peep!

The Omnia’s a sturdy bit of kit. Its metal shell feels reasuringly heavy in the hand, while the minimalist buttons up-front keep its face nice and tidy. That middle selection key also acts as a track pad, so you can move an on-screen cursor too.

Inside there’s a beefy 5 megapixel camera, and 8GB of storage. It also packs GPS and Wi-Fi, and will play back DivX movies. Of course, since its running Windows Mobile, it’ll play nice with corporate e-mail accounts, making it one of the most multi-talented business blowers around.

Samsung’s latest research shows 70 per cent of business phones lack multimedia skills, and 40% of European business users have to carry two or more phones to compensate. That’s where the Omnia excels. It’s a true all-in-one handset. Gorge your eyes below.
