There are reincarnations-a-plenty of Star Wars’ most famous droid, a silly money home entertainment system and a quirky RC amongst them, but the merchandising machine knows no boundaries and is as ruthless as Darth Vader when it comes to using the force against your wallet. Now there’s this: an R2D2 clock.
Standing six inches high this alarm clock projects the time in bright red letters onto your ceiling or wall, depending on the angle at which you set his legs, and of course the size of your room.
A tap on the head sets the projector off and R2D2 will show his appreciation by beeping too.
Set Artoo up for your early morning call and the not so soothing sound of chirps and bleeps of an authentic(ish) nature will awake you.
All these practical performances aside, its a pretty good figure that’ll sit well on any robot fancier’s shelf when his services are not required.
