Spore on iPhone: Launching this FridayWe’ve just hot-footed it from a talk by Spore creator and Sim City genius Will Wright, where the Maxis head honcho revealed the iPhone version of Spore would go live on Apple’s app store this Friday.

Spore, the ambitious new life simulator from Wright at his team, has been seven years in the making, and while the iPhone version represents just a tiny proportion of the the larger PC and Mac version, it’s one of the most anticipated titles yet to head to Apple’s mobile.

“It has nice graphics, and feel-good music, but it’s not the whole game,” Wright explained.

“It’s just the Cell Stage, but I’ve been told the game will be going live on the App Store this Friday.”

The PC and Mac version of Spore also launches on September 5th.
