Satnav giant TomTom has unleashed a whole new range of route-finders - all of which keep a constant connection to the firm’s new LIVE Services.
What does that mean exactly? Well, according to TomTom it means users are getting the most accurate, up to date and detailed live traffic info, with route guidance constantly adapting to the changing conditions on the road ahead.
Drivers can also check fuel prices in the area, the locations of safety cameras (even mobile ones) and access millions of locations via Google’s Local Search. LIVE Services don’t come free, mind you: after an initial free three-month trial, users will have to pay around a tenner a month for access.
The trio of new models - the GO 940 LIVE, GO 740 LIVE and GO 540 LIVE - also come with TomTom’s IQ Routes tech, which uses the previous journeys (and speeds) of other TomTom owners to work out the quickest possible route.
