Radio-controlled robots have recently competed in their very own Olympic style sports events in Tokyos Akhibara district, an area we think has the highest concentration of gadget lovers anywhere in the world.
Organised by Tsukumo a robot kit maker there were 15 Bipedals at the event competing in a number of disciplines including a two-metres dash (pictured).
Attendees at the event were treated to a play with all manner of off the shelf machines that they could simply mess about with for the afternoon in this geek grotto.
The Robot Olympics take place every year and we hope to see a few pool based events and are currently limbering up our disgits for the worlds first synchronised swimming robot finals.
