Sony’s new Bravia, with built-in wireless HD!Flinging high-def TV and films to the telly just got a lot less tangled. Sony’s shown off its first ever telly with wireless HD technology built in.

It means an end to trailing HDMI cables, and simple set-up of a telly without set to boxes cluttering the lounge.

The Bravia EX1 comes with a simple HD transmitter. Just hook up your HD (or standard def) sources, and they’re beamed to the screen. It’ll even work through walls!

Giving yourselves square eyes has never been easier.

One has to wonder about the term “Wireless”, you still need the mains lead, so if you have to hide that, how dificult is it to hide the rest?

Wireless electricity: this is easily possible through induction

But you’d have to put coils in the wall – which would mean just as much plaster-bashing as running a cable!
