Sony’s new 200Hz TVFast enough to keep Usain Bolt blur-free, Sony’s new 200hz TV packs twice as many frames per second as previous versions, dishing up the smoothest pictures in the world.

Perfect for sports, action flicks, or wobble-tastic home videos, it works by generating extra frames in between source material, smoothing movement and making everything judder-free.

The first model to use 200hz technology will be the Bravia Z4500. It’s a mammoth leap forward from the previous generation, which packed in a 100hz refresh rate. We’ve had an eyes-on with it here at IFA, and can report it’s slicker than a buttered snake.
