Remember Philips’ bonkers Aurea television from last year? Well, the mother of all Ambilight TVs is back, and by god it’s better – we’re talking an even crazier light show and a rejigged design.
Philips hasn’t gone overboard in updating the Aurea, but has swapped out the plastic frame for a swankier glass number and turbo-charged (or something) the Ambilight Spectra LEDs to ensure they respond to on-screen colour shifts even quicker than before.
As with the previous edition, there’s a 42-inch model, but this year there’s also a dinkier 37-incher. Just in case you don’t want to overboard, obviously…
