Sony’s new Walkman plays nice with iPlayerSony just unveiled its new S-Series Walkman range, with ultra-bright screens, oodles of battery life, and a neat party trick: they’ll play back downloaded iPlayer shows.

They’re the first Sony Walkman MP3 players to play nicely with the BBC’s on-demand service, letting you peep on-demand content wherever you are.

They’re also the slimmest models to date, with a frame just 7.5mm thick, and with a 2 inch screen.

A full charge will play back music for 40 hours, and video for 10 hours. The new Walkman models also have SenseMe technology to choose music according to your mood.
