Not to be out-done by the Nokia N85, the Big N’s bargain smartphone proves it’s also extremely lens-friendly. We got up close and personal, discovering the the N79 has beauty as well as brains.
See, we’d initially written the N79 off as a fully-featured, but less pretty candybar adaptation of the N85. We were wrong. This is a slab of pure telephonic beauty.
Check out that ice-white finish. Those smooth buttons, and the iPhone-esque metal bezel. It’s minimalist, sure, but all the more lovely for it.
Inside there’s the same Wi-Fi, GPS, 5 megapixel camera and FM transmitter as the N85. All it’s really lacking is an extra 4GB of memory and the function keys hidden under its brethren’s double-slider. But then, with looks like these, we can almost forgive that.
