Design company Maya are amateurs in the robotics field, in fact this Nano Krispie man is their first and why not start with breakfast cereal?
By no means a static creation this structure is fitted with a motion sensor who pivots unsteadily on his pedestal like his feet are stuck in custard.
Feeling pleased with this cereal creation they upped the ante and took a trip to the fridge, alas it only had a handful of items that day so a lump of Edam and a few cucumbers would simply have to make do.
A few hours later with some crafty slicing and addition of a servo they laid their “hand” on a bed of salad leaves and its sound sensor made it open and close in response to a laugh or clap. Catch the video below.
After they had their fun the team tucked in, picking out the metallic mechanisms and devouring the rest, why not have a go yourself, they’ve listed the “make” instructions and an extensive tip sheet on other foodstuffs that might make good automaton material.
