Vista running in an Eee PC 900Want to upgrade from the yesteryear look of XP, but aren’t sure if your humble Eee PC is up to the job of handling Vista? Take a look at this handy video to get an idea of how it will fair.

Given that the Eee PC 900 is only powered by a lowly Celeron chip – not even an Atom – running at 900MHz with 1GB of memory and 20GB of solid state storage it’s not too shabby at all.

It’ll take you a little longer to actually get into Vista from power up, compared to XP or Linux, but once it’s up and running it’s pretty responsive. Also, if you hibernate or sleep, rather than shutdown, then you’ll only need to actually fire it up proper every week or so.
