shweebSat on your early morning train, sipping latte, avoiding eye contact with all around you or coming into close proximity with those coughing and spluttering.. Well your A to B transport of the future would avoid all this, and save the planet!

Already set up as a type of extreme ride at the Agrodome in New Zealand the Shweeb is a personal capsule suspended on a monorail track above that uses pedal power supplied by the traveller to propel itself forward.

The owner of the park is looking at ways of incorporating it into the public transport networks of various cities in the coming years.

Keep fit, get a birds eye view of the streets below, travel at your own speed and, we’re hoping that any monorail will incorporate a few hills for freewheeling, get to say “Wheeeeeeeeee” on the way into the office.
