Caravanning could become fashionable again when the pea-shaped Capsule Caravan hits the streets. It takes up no more space on the road than a small car, but cleverly expands to provide plenty of room in its futuristic interior for two happy campers.
The brilliantly compacted design is still only a concept by David Tonkinson, but it solves all of the problems associated with the much maligned caravanning experience.
The small aerodynamic shape is far easier to tow and can be hooked up to a small car.
It’s been designed to accommodate the latest mod cons and provides a remarkably spacious and futuristic interior when it’s parked and expanded. And most importantly, it looks good enough to tempt us into a life on the road.
