TomTom has given its best shoes a polish and put on its smartest suit, hoping to appeal to the business traveller with its new TomTom Pro range of route finders.
There are two models on offer in the US - the Pro 4000 and Pro 8000 - and in addition to TomTom’s usual route mastery, business customers can expect an extra perk or two.
There’s a dedicated Pro customer service line, so they can always find someone to shout at if they get lost. To help protect sensitive corporate data slipping into the wrong hands, the devices can be pin locked and there’s also a menu lockout to avoid distractions while en route.
A rugged sleeve is thrown in, just in case employees are a bit ham fisted while carting it around, and it comes with one free map update and a two year warranty, which should keep it fresh. Only planned for the US at present, there’s no word on whether it’ll make it to British shores.
