It looks more menacing than an Imperial AT-AT, but thankfully this friendly robot packhorse is only knee high and likes nothing more than to cart your stuff around and keep you company with its endearing artificial intelligence.
Daym was actually inspired, not by Star Wars, but by a backpack. Its designer Andreas Martin envisioned a pack that could slip from your back and walk under its own steam. The head unit contains the artificial brain that can make decisions about obstacles and where to go. It would be able to recognize its owner and become a kind of pet too.
We love the concept, but surely scaling it up to the height of a large building and attaching laser cannons would enhance its functionality?
