The PS3’s social interaction wonderland, PlayStation Home will be getting adult-only areas to keep prying eyes from viewing unsuitable content. Oooh-er!
Considering some of the gaming horror stories recently, the move is sure to please videogame protestors, although we’re still not sure just how titillating it’ll get.
When probed about the adult areas, PlayStation Home boss Peter Edwards told IC Gamers “In the short-term, there probably won’t be many but in the long-term, we expect to see them. For instance, a casino or even somewhere you can go and see 18-rated trailers for games”.
But what about other, erm, more saucy areas we hear you cry?
“Obviously, there are other 18-plus areas that you could imagine, but some of those might not come to fruition. But we have the ability to age-protect areas, and I think that’s something that we will inevitably make use of.” He said, before adding, “That isn’t anything particularly sinister, but obviously, you’d have to prevent 12-year-olds going in there”.
Better put some facial hair on your avatar if you’re under 18, or you ain’t getting in.
