Honda’s zero-emission FCX Clarity has just rolled onto the driveways of its first owners. But they’re not any old driveways, they belong to some of California’s biggest stars.
Film director Ron Yerxa was the first to take delivery of his FCX Clarity, closely followed by actress Jamie Lee Curtis and her husband, Christopher Guest.
The cars will now go on to be in the hands of 200 customers, with Honda operating a leasing agreement over the next three years.
Powered by hydrogen, the car is completely emission free. The only result of its combustion system is pure water, which drips harmlessly onto the road behind it.
“I really wasn’t expecting it to be so luxurious,”
said Jamie Lee Curtis on grabbing the keys to her new motor.
“I love the interior layout, design and access to controls. It is user friendly and very modern.”
Now, what we’re really waiting for is Honda’s sportier zero-emission roadster!
