Retailers are reporting Sony’s PlayStation 3 80GB will be available this Friday, a full week earlier than we’d all expected it to land.
The revamped console won’t pack any extra features, just a bit more hard drive space. Still, it’ll come in handy when it comes to downloading games, or storing movies, music and photos.
It’ll cost the same as the old 40GB version too, at a pound less than £300. Seems Microsoft’s price-slashing antics haven’t got Sony scared just yet.
