Instead of being rudely awakened by a blaring alarm, the Silence alarm clock gently rouses you from slumber with a wireless vibrating rubber ring. Just shake your ring finger to snooze.
Waking to an unpleasant and monotonous noise, like Chris Moyles, will put you in an instant bad mood, whereas the Silence vibrating ring, which connects wirelessly to the clock itself, can bring you out of a deep sleep more gradually.
The ring is also motion sensitive, so you can shake your hand to stop it and snooze for a while longer. The vibration becomes less subtle and the action required to snooze becomes more energetic as time goes by, so eventually you have to get up and turn it off. It’s still only a concept design by Johan Brengesjo – until manufacturers wake up to the idea.
