Maybe Sony should think again about not giving the PS3 a price trim as Microsoft has just given it a sales whooping in Japan for the first time ever.
The Xbox 360 outsold the PS3 in Japan by 28,116 units to just 10,705 for the week ending 10 August. The rise is probably linked to the launch of Namco Bandai’s Xbox only RPG Tales of Vesperia on 7 August.
Microsoft shouldn’t get too cocky, however, as it’s still trailing Nintendo in the console selling stakes. The arm-waving Wii shifted more than the other two put together with a massive 41,044 units.
