Apple may yet to have embraced the simplistic beauty of Bluetooth A2DP stereo streaming, despite it surely just requiring a little bit of software magic to enable it on the iPhone, but if you own another phone that does you can now send your tracks wirelessly to any old sound system with the Chordette Gem.
This tiny, but pricey, box drags your existing stereo system kicking and screaming into the 21st century. It features a Bluetooth receiver at one end, and a pair of audio out sockets at the other. Just pair it with your phone and it’ll send your chosen tracks onto whatever stereo setup you hook up to its audio out.
It’s also got a USB port, so you can stream digital audio the wired way from a PC. The only stumbling block is the price - at £399 you could probably buy a standalone Bluetooth soundsystem and still have change to buy a few tracks to play on it.
Out now | £399
