Aiptek has launched the AHD-300, a compact point and shoot pistol-grip camcorder able to capture pixel-packed HD video at 1080p quality - and it only costs £129.99!
HD pictures can be recorded at either 720p (1280 x 720) or 1080p (1440 x 1080), with the footage being squirreled onto SD or SDHC card. Aiptek claims you can stuff two hours of the highest quality footage on an 8GB card. There’s also the option to shoot at DVD or YouTube quality, with the latter being suitable for direct uploading to the web.
Also aboard is the ability to snap stills at 8-megapixel quality, a 4x digital zoom and a 2.4-inch swivel-mounted LCD screen.
