Last night’s announcement from San Francisco wasn’t the 9-inch sub notebook that CNNMoney had predicted, but the new Latitude E series, including the worlds lightest, thinnest and longest lasting ultra-portable notebook, as well as some lovely new colours!
Dell isn’t known for its playful designs or ultra-portable notebooks, but the E4200, smallest of the E-series, smashes size, weight and battery life records with some ground breaking tech.
The solid state memory and magnesium alloy construction get the size and weight right down, while a new battery promises up to 19 hours of use from a single charge.
What really surprised us though, is Dell’s new stylish direction. Given that Latitude is Dell’s core business line, the E4200 is available in red, blue, black and pink. Pink we tell you! Boardrooms will never be dull again…
