Asus has confirmed that it will be putting out a new twist on the Eee PC 900 - as expected the 900A will feature an Intel Atom processor. It’ll also the first purple Eee PC - it’s hard to decide which is more exciting.
If mauve isn’t your thing, you’ll still be able to pick one up in either black or white too. Inside you’ll find the omnipotent 1.6GHz Atom chip, 1GB of memory and either 8GB or 16GB SSD. It’ll weigh in at just under 1Kg and measure a teeny 225×170x34mm, with an 8.9in screen, Wi-Fi, three USB ports and an SD card slot.
There’s no word on how much it will cost just yet, but German retailer ComTech has jumped the gun and announced a pre-order price tag of €299 - a mere £240 at current exchange rates.
