Nintendo unveiled WiiMotion Plus at E3 but InvenSense, the company behind the tech, has confirmed its not a Nintendo exclusive, meaning we could see it reach other consoles.
“Of course we’re incredibly pleased – delighted would probably be a better adjective – that Nintendo approached us… but it’s not an exclusive relationship,” Joe Virginia, InvenSense’s VP of wireless business and corporate communications, told Eurogamer.
With rumours of Xbox 360 and PS3 motion controllers waiting in the wings, this latest news is hardly going to dampen speculation.
“I can’t get into details about other folks that are interested in this technology, but as you might imagine, of course there is more interest out there.” Virginia added.
