While Asus solidly churns out model after model of the Eee PC in effort to keep ahead, MSI is letting other companies do the hard work for it. Averatec looks to be the latest to take the MSI Wind and wrap it up in its own custom case colour job.
There’s no official confirmation that the Averatec actually is an MSI Wind underneath, but the there’s no denying the family heritage when you look at the picture.
The specs are pretty similar too - Atom chip, 10in display and 120GB hard drive. According to Laptop Mag, all the ports, lights and movable plastic parts line up too. Is MSI spreading the Wind too thin, or does anyone actually care whose badge is on the lid so long as it does the job?
