Indulge youself for a moment and take a quick wander down Sesame Street remembering some of the stars of the show ; Big Bird, The Count, Bert and Ernie, Cookie Monster, Grover and of course Elmo. In just a few short months the little red fellow will be available as one of the most amazing animatronic toys ever.
The most engaging aspect of this toy from Fisher Price is the life, sorry muppet like way that he opens and closes his mouth whilst talking, and the movement of its head, a real homage to his on-screen character and almost worth the purchase alone.
Start Elmo Live off in a seated, cross-legged position and marvel after your sensor selection (a squeeze of the hand, foot or a tickle) at his varied entertainment offerings.
The jokes, stories, singing and game playing might not keep an adult entertained for hours in one stretch but for a quick grin fix this really hits the spot, its almost too good for its target audience of five and under.
During the entire repertoire Elmo constantly moves his mouth and head and waves his hands about whilst standing up and sitting down crossing his legs.
We sat, pints in hand, surrounded by other grown-ups this weekend who went weak at the knees for a spell with our Elmo Live prototype, we could have put out a cap for folk to throw change into and made a few quid, but the PR people cruelly told us it was time to go, and so Elmo disappeared until October.
Due October | £54.99
