The BlackBerry Thunder is for dummies. The BlackBerry Javelin is where it’s at. At least, according to the latest rumours.
See, RIM’s touchscreen Thunder isn’t the only new handset it has in the works. Set to replace the BlackBerry Curve, the Javelin is set to be formally introduced next year, but specs are already leaking online.
According to fan site CrackBerry, there’ll be a full hardware QWERTY keyboard, a 512MHz processor, 256MB of on-board storage and a 3.2 megapixel camera.
That’s on top of the usual Micro SD memory slot, 480×360 screen, Wi-Fi and GPS.
All sounding good so far, but there’s a little bit of bad news. It’s unlikely the Javelin will pack 3G skills, and the software inside will be a re-run of that found in the BlackBerry Bold.
Keep it here for more as we hear it.
