iPhone controlling military machine makes us all potential Generals!

We’ve brought you iPhone app’s a plenty of late, this one however is not some time frittering bit of fun for pure showing off to friends purposes, no this is serious, please pay attention.

One day in the future all those taking out iPhone contracts may well get a better tariff if they tick the military service box!

A slightly modded iPhone has been hooked up with the WiFi on-board iRobots military grade Packbot to offer full on-screen control and real time video streaming too.

Developed by a couple of students at the University of South Florida we’ve found a video of the machine in motion and we’re impressed by the use of the iPhone’s accelerometer for panning and zooming.
