Osim Nioi fragrance alarm clockInstead of being rudely awoken by the infernal bleeping of an alarm, how about being gently roused by the smell of fresh bread, or filtered coffee? The Osim Nioi makes no sound, emitting a choice of fragrances at the desired time instead.

The concept design by designer Alfie Lake, is intended to give you the best night’s sleep possible and a gentle, positive start to the day. It can emit a subtle lavender or rose fragrance in the night, to induce sweet dreams while you sleep, and a more stirring smell, like baking bread, in the morning when it’s time to wake. You just set the time normally and then push down the ‘smell canister’ you want to be woken by. We hope ‘full English breakfast’ will be an option.

Alternatively, buy a bean-to-cup coffee machine with a timer and wake not only to the smell of freshly ground coffee but an actual cup of coffee!

  2. Jim Hill says:

Absolutely. How about the Krups Espresseria we covered recently? Krups are sending us an early sample and it could be one of the best as well as the smallest bean-to-cups out there…
