Sony’s newest home theatre system won’t come packing monstrous monolithic speakers to pump sound into your living room, instead it’ll pack these cute golf ball-sized speakers to do the same job.
The DAV-IS50 packs in a slot-loading DVD/CD/MP3 player, as well as an FM/AM radio, pumping out 450 watts to the titchy speakers.
Best of all, the system’s rear speakers are wireless too, using Sony’s S-AIR system to eliminate the need for cumbersome cables.
So how small are these micro marvels? Just 5.5cm high, 4.5cm wide and 4cm deep. That’s tiny enough to hide in even the most minimalist apartment.
