Most certainly one of the more elaborate ways to keep track of time but this machine dubbed “Stonehenge” with its robotic arm and fourteen double-sized numbered cards will have you transfixed.
Its goes about it business by lifting and shifting the cards into place every 60 seconds and although is sometimes prone to taking longer than a minute to make its move the software compensates when necessary and skips through to the next digit when needed.
Software architect Steve Norris has definitely created a machine totally impractical for its everyday purpose but we’re strangely drawn by its charm.
We’d love to see a screensaver version of the Stonehenge and await our instructions to download.
