The Asus Eee Box is a deliciously cheap desktop PC, bearing more than a passing resemblance to the Nintendo Wii. That resemblance is about to get a lot more obvious, thanks to Asus’s new controller, the Eee Stick.
Yes, we know what you’re thinking, it looks exactly like the Wii’s Nunchuck controller. But it’s not just for games.
Asus says there’ll be three different modes, for pointing at on-screen controls, tilting and full 3D control. The 3D control mode is obviously perfect for games, while tilting and pointing are more geared towards web browsing or giving presentations.
Unlike Nintendo’s controller, it’s completely wireless, with the two halves communicating directly with a USB adapter plugged in to the back of the Eee Box.
It’ll also come with other Eee-branded computers in the future, although for the time being it’s only confirmed for the Eee Box.
