Alex the animated head is a fine choice for budding roboticists first building project, all the pieces needed for a fully programmable bot that’ll teach you some tricks of the trade and offer hours of amusement.
Whilst not as advanced, or indeed as weird as the animated tongue we showed you last week this flat pack fella from the future is more of a talent.
Ready cut pieces slot into place together with the hardware, servers and animation controller board to give you recording and playback features for the moving head, lips, flashing eyes and sound too.
The controller board lets you input up to 40 seconds of motion and 20 seconds of sound which can be pieced together to give you a display leaving its audience grinning from ear to ear.
Put your carefully thought out show onto loop and have Alex meet and greet in reception areas or feed it with your joke of the day and set it in motion until repetition has you reaching for the off switch.
