Together with their muckers at Sony, the Japanese auto/robot/industrial giant Toyota are branching out into the field of human moving machines.
The Winglet uses the same body-shifting steering mechanism as introduced by the Segway but this machine just does it with loads more chic and is something you wouldn’t mind be seeing out and about on rather than the butt-ugly two-wheeler.
The ten man team included five engineers from Sony and the largest Winglet can carry a person 10 kilometres at speeds up to 6 kmh.
There are also plans to introduce other smaller models too and there’ll be trials starting on the entire range this summer at Chuba airport.
So if you’re stuck for somewhere to go on your jollies, consider flying here and have some two-wheeled fun.
