O2 has become the first broadband supplier to offer both home and mobile broadband in a single package. For a limited period only, customers who plump for the firm’s £20 a month Mobile Broadband service will also get the Home Broadband Standard package free for 12 months.
The home broadband package ordinarily costs existing O2 customers £7.50 a month when sold on its own (or £12.50 a month to anyone else). It offers download speeds of up to 8Mbps and unlimited data. The mobile broadband allows 3G of data traffic per month, as well as offering unlimited access to 7,500 UK Wi-Fi hotspots.
