Finding your current MSI Wind battery life a little on the low side? Well, you could either sit there twiddling your thumbs waiting for an official extended battery to be released or instead simply fashion your own. Who’s up for a bit of DIY action?
You’ll need to track down six cells that match the spec of the ones inside your Wind, but thankfully some kind sole over at the MSI Wind Forums has done the hard work for you and will sell you eight – six to use, plus two spares – for but £15.
Then you just need to slice open your current battery (the hard part) and keep cutting until your can fit the extra batteries in. It might look a little ugly and bottom heavy after surgery, but in return you can expect a whopping eight hours battery life.
