Nokia Email, now replacing BlackBerry ConnectNokia’s stepping up its battle against BlackBerry, kicking the BlackBerry Connect software off its E-series devices and herding e-mail fans towards its own push messaging service.

The Finnish phone giant has ended its collaboration with BlackBerry maker RIM, meaning software to make the Big N’s devices work with BlackBerry servers won’t make it to the newest E-Series phones, such as the QWERTY-packed E71 and gorgeous new E66.

Instead, Nokia’s recommending customers use its own Nokia Email Service, which offers full push e-mail services, but without any monthly fee.
