One of the great threats to the iPhone has just had a major setback: Garmin says its Nuvifone won’t be ready until next year, meaning it’ll miss the critical Christmas rush.
According to Stuff, the company has “found that meeting some of the carrier specific requirements will take longer than anticipated.”
Could it be that the phone’s more complex than the firm first imagined? We’ve caught sight of it on video, and it certainly looks ambitious. We’re talking iPhone levels of usability, as well as proper GPS navigation, something even Apple hasn’t attempted yet.
