Teenage messaging mobile, the Sidekick, just got a new version in the US. There’s no exciting name, and the specs aren’t amazing, but will that matter?
T-Mobile is hoping it won’t. The Sidekick has such a loyal following, thanks to its instant messaging, e-mail and texting abilities, that the specs almost don’t matter.
That said, the new version packs in a wide 400×240 WQVGA display, a 2 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth and a microSD card slot.
The new model can also be customised, with replacement shells dinking teenage pockets for $15.
