Sony’s NAS-E35HD Giga Juke hi-fi system proved a popular way of playing music ripped onto its HDD, but now it’s joined by the premium multi-room NAS-SC55PKE, which can stream music to its wireless sidekick in another room.
In fact Giga Juke can now stream to up to five zones around your house including the NAS-C5E speaker and amplifier unit that ships with it. The main unit contains a CD player plus DAB and FM tuners along with the hard drive that can hold about 40,000 tunes. It can also grab music from a USB device, your iPod or internet radio stations too. You can record any of these sources straight onto the HDD and then stream them wirelessly to each of the five zones independently. Or you could play the same track in all five rooms simultaneously and call it a house party.
