The latest development of swimming automatons comes in the shape, size and identical features of the humble Bream, has someone in the labs been overdoing it on the Saki.
It is indeed a very realistic replica of the aquatic creature complete with handpainted scales and does appear to have some purpose with its various on-board cameras and ability to swim autonomously.
The Tai-robot-kun can swim for an our on full charge relying on a ballast system inside to adjust bouyancy and depth.
Robotic Bream features a unique propulsion system enabling it to glide almost silenty through the briny and according to its creator one Professor Ikuo Yamamoto and can be cost effectively mass-produced.
As robot Bream swims silently and looks like a real fish, could well collate data without bothering other underwater creatures.
Our main concern is that larger creatures of the deep may well end up with electric component digestion as it does look rather tasty.
