If you’re familiar with the Superpoke Facebook app, you might notice something’s missing from it: an action to let you ’stab’ a friend has been yanked after complaints from anti-knife protesters.
The company behind the application, Slide.com gave Facebook users the option to “Shank” someone, which is slang for stab, causing consternation.
Urban Concepts, a group of Anti-knife protesters told Marketing Week it “completely condemns” the game which encourages users to virtually stab their mates.
The game was also criticised by those whose families and relatives had been affected by knife crime.
