With all this talk of Sony and LG getting in on the little laptop game it looks like Toshiba can take it now more and is looking to regain its tiny notebook crown.
Toshiba was one of the first to make properly small PCs with its Libretto range way back in 1996 - that’s pre-Spice Girl days. True, they lacked one thing that today’s current crop have, which is a tiny price tag to match, but it looks like Tosh is set on changing all that.
A senior Toshiba exec confirmed to APC magazine that a ULPC - ultra low cost PC - is in the works and will be out very soon. The only details revealed were that it would probably have a 9in screen and be aimed at the higher end of the low cost market, if that makes sense.
