Tosh has shown off a brand new concept handheld PC, boasting a delicious-looking shell and more power inside than you’d expect.
The new device uses an Intel Atom processor and packs in 64GB of solid-state flash storage. Most surprisingly of all, it runs Windows Vista.
A hardware keyboard has been shunned in favour of a touch-screen version, spanned across the portable’s 5.6 inch display.
And now for the bad news: Toshiba says it won’t put the device into production.
It’s “too small” says Toshiba’s Mark Whittard, and is not “commercially viable.” However, Tosh is confident it’ll launch an ultra-mobile PC very soon. Stay tuned for more as we hear it, and lets hope the finished device looks as good as the prototype!
