Hardcore Nintendo fans physically drained by Ninty’s pile of peripheral-led titles will be pleased to know Super Mario creator, Shigeru Miyamoto is working on new Mario and Zelda titles.
It’s good news for anyone thinking Nintendo was forcing new peripherals on us to boost their bank balance. But Miyamoto has reassured fans there’ll be more conventional titles.
“Making these ‘traditional’ games is what I am best at,” he told The Telegraph.
“Because games of that nature take upwards of two or three years to make, we always have to keep the teams working on those projects going.
And now the words we all wanted to hear:
“They are all working on more Mario, Zelda and Pikmin projects,” he added. “And they all work in close proximity to me, so I can keep a good eye on them.”
With Wii Fit, Music and the Wii Sports Resort, we hope we’re not too knackered to play them when they arrive.
