The Eee PC is a wonderful companion, until its battery runs out, but now there’s talk of a new version from Asus that’ll keep the dinky laptop running for a full day.
Of course, that’s likely to mean a full working day, so eight hours rather than an optimistic 24, but it’s still pretty impressive.
According to Digitimes, the Eee range will get a significant battery boost in the near future. In addition, T3 reckons the company is dabbling in online storage, which would let it bundle smaller hard disks or flash drives, and rely on the cloud to save weight and improve power efficiencies.
When’s it all due to happen? Towards the end of the year, apparently. Keep you eyes glued to Electricpig for more as it happens.
