Holy Smoke Batfans, the wait is finally over as Dark Knight goes on general UK release today. Those wishing to show allegiance to the caped crusader and snag themselves a fine weekend party accessory look no further - The Batman Mega Cape is the ultimate dress-up set.

To give it the full title - Dark Knight Mega Cape and cowl set - Which is about as much dialogue as most of us might expect for the duration of an action film, this wearable set offers you the look of the leading man as soon as it is slipped on.

Its true magic however is the quick deployment (via a tug of the strings) of the five foot wingspan for added menace as you cast your shadow.

The manufacturers tell us that the wings can also be “retracted for stealth like movement in narrow spaces”  which sounds like they are positively encouraging the wearing of them inside cinemas.
