Anybody who’s seen Back to the Future Part II wants to get their hands (or should we say feet) on a hoverboard in order to replicate some of Marty McFly’s gravity-defying tricks and stunts. And guess what? Thanks to eBay, one fan is going to have that dream come true. The first part, anyway.
You see, one of the actual boards used by Michael J Fox during the filming of Back to the Future Part II is currently being auctioned off on the site. Obviously it won’t hover (sorry to break it to you), but the footpad rotates and the wood and styrofoam build means it has the right look and feel of a “real” hoverboard. It won’t come cheap, mind: the bidding starts at $30,000 (£15,000), and is expected to go as high as $50,000!
